Testimonials

"Nick did a gut renovation of our home. He worked diligently and never missed a day of work. I cannot praise his workmanship enough. He came up with creative design ideas and effective cost saving suggestions. He worked closely with me and our architect to make sure that I realized my dreams and that the work was done in accordance with code guidelines. He is patient, hard-working, honest, creative, dedicated. He's everything anyone would want in a contractor and more. It's been years since the project ended and Nick's work has withstood the test of time. With 2 kids and 2 dogs and an at-home business, our home is constantly in use. Nick's workmanship is so resilient, that the house still looks great. I have recommended him to friends, colleagues and clients. All of them love his work and would continue to use his services. He gives all of his projects, whether big or small, the same level of care and attention. Another thing that is special about Nick is that he always makes himself available when there's an emergency or whenever I have a question about the house. He is a constant source of support after all of these years."

"Nick Perper completed a gut renovation of my roughly 1,200 square foot apartment in Park Slope at budget, a month early - how many people can say that? He has an excellent design sense, he’s very clever about solving the kinds of problems architects cannot anticipate, the quality of his work is outstanding, and he was an absolute pleasure to work with from beginning to end.

Nick personally supervised the entire project, and at several points made terrific recommendations with respect to both structure and materials. Though we differed at times, we never had an argument - not once! -, and he always respected our wishes. Nick is licensed, he works with licensed subs, and he can handle all aspects of the job.

Also, Nick is sensitive to the needs of people with tight budgets. We, for example, decided to save money by buying all materials ourselves, from door pulls to appliances, and Nick worked with us to coordinate deliveries and the like. I highly recommend Nick Perper of NP Classic Construction."

"I used NP Classic Construction Corp. to reconstruct my home in Park Slope, Brooklyn. Our project included a got renovation of the existing structure and construction of a new, 24 feet, 3 stories extension. Nick and his crew were extremely responsible, reliable and more than competent. NP Classic Construction Corp. takes ownership of their work and take great pride in doing an excellent job. I would highly recommend them to anyone."

"We retained Nick Perper to renovate our daughter's one bedroom cooperative apartment in Park Slope. In sharp contrast to our experiences with other contractors, Nick was true to his word. He showed up when he said he would show up. He did what he said he would do. Always the gentleman, he never lost patience with us as we waffled back and forth between one construction decision and then another. He was ever available by phone or email to answer our questions. He explained why one approach was preferable to another and did not hesitate to suggest alternate, less expensive solutions. His work crew was clean, respectful, on time and hardworking. Nick met his deadlines and restored our faith in contractors. Last but not least, his work was outstanding. We have since recommended him to others who have given him similarly high marks."

"Nick and his guys did a good job with the work we hired them for. They took out two closets, put in a new one, and did some additional demolition work. They finished on time and on budget. Nick also made sure he understood what I wanted, and he made sure that I understood what they were planning to do (unlike some of the other contractors we got quotes from). They were also reasonably priced. I would hire them again."

"Nick Perper of NP Classic Construction renovated our 1.5 bathrooms and did an outstanding job. As the other reviewers have mentioned, he was honest, reliable and had an amazing work ethic.

We first met Nick in January to discuss our project and he must have been by four or five times for consultations before we shook hands. When we told him that we wanted to put in an A/C system before we started the bathrooms, he hooked us up with a great company and then coordinated his project with the work they did. Once he started to work on our bathrooms, he was awesome. We heard lots of horror stories about other contractors, but we never had any concerns about Nick. He was on top of every detail of the project and he helped us tremendously when we needed to troubleshoot or wanted a second opinion on a design element. I know he had other projects going on, but he answered every call and text, came when called for and never made us feel that our questions/concerns were trivial. The work his crew did is outstanding -- the tiles are perfectly laid out, every fixture is where it should be, everything is neat and clean.

I couldn't recommend Nick highly enough -- he's the gold standard."

"I am the one who posted the original recommendation for Nick Perper. He has done a lot of work for me, including a gut renovation of our home. His next project for us will be to do sidewalk repair/replacement thanks to all the violations the city has imposed on homeowners on our block. I stand by my recommendation 100%. He does amazing work, is honest and reliable. You are welcome to see what he did in our house. The renovations still look amazing after 4 years. Feel free to contact me if you have any specific questions."

"We chose Nick Perper based on the good reviews from Park Slope Parents, his low bid and his professionalism when he came out to give us an estimate. We were not disappointed. His workers were on time every morning, courteous and finished the work on time (a little early, even!). We had a floor levelled and tiled, not an easy job since our kitchen is a little quirky. He was even able to save our granite counter tops, which saved us several thousand dollars."

"I highly recommend our contractor, Nick Perper of Classic Construction. Before doing a gut renovation of our home, he did smaller jobs for us, too. He has done work for real estate agents that I work with and for my clients. They all were pleased with the quality of his work and his work ethic. I'm happy to show you what he did in our home and answer any questions."
